The Accounting Specialist will ensure accurate financial records and support business operations in compliance with UAE and DMCC accounting standards and regulations.
This role demands precision, organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and updates to the general ledger.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, including VAT registration, returns, and documentation.
- Process payroll and handle employee expense claims, ensuring alignment with UAE labor laws.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management review.
- Stay informed about changes in UAE accounting and tax regulations to maintain compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the UAE.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ZohoBook,QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and UAE VAT regulations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
