Role
We are looking to place an Accountant responsible for the financial accounting and to ensure that all transactions are recorded in accordance with applicable corporate policies, and local and international accounting standards and in keeping with the highest level of business ethics.
Tasks
Accounting and Reporting:
- Bookkeeping of documents, reconciliation of vendor, customer accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Handling of month-end closing procedure, calculation, and recording of monthly accruals, open item management in SAP R3, fixed assets and intangible movements, preparation of financial reports, assisting with group reporting, coordinating with financial controllers, and ensuring all documents are recorded as per corporate policy and accounting principles.
- Assisting in the preparation of budget and forecast.
Indirect taxes:
- VAT return preparation and submission. Reconciliation of VAT return to trial balance.
Business Partnering:
- Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance.
- Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to controllers.
- Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and teams.
- Liaison with statutory and internal auditors.
Working Capital Management:
- Monitoring & managing receivable exposure.
- Preparation of cash flow statements.
Profile & Background
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- 4-7 years of experience in Accounting (Accounts payable, invoice registration, supplier account reconciliation, balance confirmation, pay-to-purchase, and month-end accrual).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Experience in SAP R3 is a must.
- Excellent English communication skills.
