Job Purpose:
Lead/coordinate the execution of all responsibilities pertaining to Finance processes and procedures improvements and enhancement. To oversee the Finance department which includes the Financial Planning, reporting and Analysis and assistance to Controllership. Drive efficiency and effectiveness of all areas of finance for ADX and its business units.
Key Accountabilities:
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
▪ Follow all relevant departmental processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is conducted in a controlled and consistent manner.
▪ Demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
Finance Operations Support
▪ Support Lead Financial Controller in the design and implement internal system controls to safeguard financial data integrity.
▪ Review and provide improvements to financial statements closing process through addition of new controls in the process and ensure smooth running of the improvements through monthly review. ▪ Prepare consolidated financial statements in line applicable international accounting standards and applicable tax rules.
▪ Ensure effective and efficient applicability of Shared Service Agreement between group companies (ADX to AD CSD and AD Clear) and ensure recharge model is applied in line with Transfer pricing rules. Take assistance where required from LFC and provide for LFC review on monthly basis part of Financial Statements Closing.
▪ Review and analyze Chart of Accounts to support changing and evolving business needs. Ensure all entities maintain and update Chart of Accounts in line with business requirements.
▪ Provide support to finance team members in the implementation of internal control in respective roles and processes. Provide idea to improve the performance of the processes through automation. ▪ Ensure supply chain system in ERP is working effectively with keeping clean PO list and timely closing of open POs.
▪ Assess and work with Lead Financial Controller in implementation of finance road map as instructed by ADQ part of future plan i.e. review different process and implement automations where required ▪ Play vital role in submission of reports to ADQ and timely follow up to other departments if any information required.
▪ Support the preparation of the budget and collaborate with the FP&A team to support them with explanation on variance, identification of potential areas of cost reduction and performance improvement.
▪ Assist and provide training and support to colleagues to enhance their proficiency in new accounting standards, procedures & process and using accounting systems.
▪ Supporting the annual external audit process, particularly ICFR assignment with review of controls and IT General Controls for Finance.
▪ Work along with Financial Controller and ensure system permissions align with approved roles and responsibilities and ensure segregation of duties are in place.
▪ Provide and ensure clean reports on month and quarter end include AR &AP Aging reports, Bank reconciliations, reconciliation of vendor statements with GLs, prepayments and accrual schedules etc maintain on the finance folder for the Financial Controller review.
▪ Work with Financial Controller to close internal audit points, matters identified in the internal risk office report and deficiencies identified by the external auditors in the management letter. Provide and add enhancements in the processes and procedures where required.
▪ Provide support with the execution of approved payroll technology requirements, facilitating the seamless operations and efficiency of the payroll process throughout ADX in collaboration with the Technology & Digital department.
▪ Conduct research to remain up to date on industry best practices and market trends, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in payroll systems, processes, and practices, and to contribute to the enhancement and efficiency of payroll management.
▪ Ensure effective tax planning (Corporate & VAT) following any changes and ensure compliance with tax rules.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting
▪ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to smooth finance operations, enhancing stakeholder satisfaction, and fostering a positive working relationship between finance and other departments within the organization.
▪ Provide support with the prompt and effective resolution of employee and departments inquiries and issues relating to activities or processes, contributing to a positive experience across the Group.
▪ Participate in collaborations with business partners, including banks, cash transport companies, insurers, etc., contributing to the seamless execution of the payroll process.
Continuous Improvement
▪ Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
Risk and Business Continuity Management
▪ Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Educational and Professional Qualifications: ▪ ACCA, CA, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Overall Experience:
▪ +7 years’ experience with experience in Big 4 firm
