Overview
We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Supervisor to manage our assembly line and ensure optimal performance in our optical fiber and cable manufacturing facility. A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and one to two years of experience in cable manufacture or a related field are prerequisites for the ideal applicant.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the smooth operation of the assembly line, coordinating with machine operators and other team members to meet production targets.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards set by the company, ensuring that all products meet specifications and quality requirements.
- Monitor and manage the flow of raw materials for production, coordinating with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure availability and timely delivery.
- Prepare daily reports on production activities, including output levels, material usage, and any issues encountered, providing regular updates to management.
- Manage and lead the workforce on the production floor, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to maintain a productive and cohesive team.
- Address any mechanical or electrical problems that may arise during production, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cable manufacture or a related field
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for generating reports, analyzing data, and communication.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Basic) for understanding and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with the capability to effectively manage a diverse team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and address technical issues to maintain uninterrupted production.
