The post also offers the opportunity for a senior clinical fellow to obtain advanced competenciesin one of a number ofsurgicalspecialties undertaken at RLH (eg neuro, complex obstetrics, perioperative medicine and high risk preassessment, regional anaesthesia, trauma anaesthesia major abdominal surgery) or to develop their CV by undertaking QI projects or research. In addition, each successful candidate will have a dedicated educational supervisor to support their career goals.
Out of hours they will work with a team of an anaesthetic core trainee, an obstetric anaesthetic registrar, a paediatric anaesthetic registrar and a senior anaesthetic registrar under the supervision of an anaesthetic consultant.

The post is a one year fixed term contract. It will be based within Barts Health and primarily working at the Royal London Hospital. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a trainee with an interest in education to develop as a clinical medical educator. It also offers the
opportunity to be involved in the exciting field of simulation and inter professional team training. It is aimed at those who wish to build on their personal teaching experience to develop expertise in educational theory and practice, and undertake supervised educational research.
The post would typically suit a post primary FRCA CT3 and above trainee who is interested in further training in medical education as part of an Out of Programme Experience (OOPE) or Out of Programme Training (OOPT) from their Specialist Registrar training programme.
