1. Prepares the annual training plan in coordination with the Workshop Supervisors and due approval from the Senior Manager Projects. Thereafter, to ensure implementation of the approved annual training plan.
2. Follow the progress of the automotive technology and ensure an up-to-date technical trend through relevant information from sources such as manufacturer’s technical database, video and technical manuals among others.
3. Attends technical training conducted by various manufacturers’ and other external resources with direct relevance to the automotive industry. And conducts re-echo training to the Technicians upon return.
4. Keeps on record all technical documentations and handles all relevant filing and updates whenever necessary. Update above information on a periodical basis
5. Assists Technicians on areas that makes them having difficulty to practically implement by showing them solutions to carry-out certain tasks and subject all concerned Technicians to training whenever necessary.
6. Prepares Technical Feedback of individual products to be sent to Management and Manufacturers.
7. Prepares Technical Failure report to be sent to Manufacturer and manage to submit relevant reports.
8. Sends feedback to manufacture, customer perception and product evolution necessary, based on the field report.
9. Liaises concerned party / parties on technical matters.
10. Manages technical Bulletins and disseminate relevant information to all concerned staff.
11. Maintains Technical Library (OEM service Manuals and Technical Drawings)
12. Conducts Annual Technical Skills and development assessment. Conducts trainings with the workforce on safe practices, handling of hazardous chemicals, flammable items and safe operation.
13. Conducts daily inspection on site to make sure that standard ground procedures are implemented.
14. Coordinate / support the implementation of QHSE rules, policies, safe work practices and procedures based on the standards of STC and RTA, respectively.
15. Provides all relevant quality, safety, health, and environment requirements. And ensure that all relevant technical and SHEQ documentations are maintain.
16. Conducts regular safety meeting / toolbox talk to assess the team’s knowledge of the Do’s and Don’ts of the project and ensure them carrying out safety related measures.
17. Conducts specific safety inspections, accident investigation and reporting when deemed necessary.
18. Resolved safety problem arise and suggest better and effective reinforcement.
19. Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Senior Manager Projects.
Educational Qualification
B.E or Master in Automobile Engineering with 10 Year Automotive relevant trainer experience ( In commercial vehicles) either in India or Abroad
