Role: Content Writer

About the Function:
The Hotels Content team of MakeMyTrip is an integral part of the hotels’ LOB for both domestic and international hotels. It is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of all customer and partner-facing communication and enhancing the overall booking experience on the app/website through relevant content touchpoints. The team specializes in end-to-end content workflows, ranging from concise and informative funnel copies to long-form content.
About the Role:
This role demands a clear understanding of customer behavior to produce content that helps them make informed buying decisions. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Supply, Category, Creative, and Product to gather information on current or future projects and then plan content deliverables around these initiatives on a monthly or quarterly basis. In this role, one gets to drive the end-to-end strategy and management of projects while ensuring adherence, consistency, and compliance with pre-defined content guidelines.
What will you be doing?
- Writing long-form content such as blogs, mailers, property descriptions
- Crafting engaging copies for social media and product that drives booking decisions
- You’re a self-starter, who is able to multi-task and adhere to timelines.
- You believe in initiating conversations & taking end-to-end ownership of projects, right from ideation to execution.
- You possess good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary.
Qualification & Experience
- Master's - English literature or mass communication, Journalism, or related field.
- Content professional with 3-4 yrs. of work experience in creative content writing and editing (both short and long-form content) (Preferably from the Travel domain)
- Prior experience in writing long-form content, marketing & UX copies (samples requested)
- At least 1-2 years of experience in UX writing/funnel communication (samples requested)
- Has a good understanding of MS Office Suite and CMS tools
- Previous experience in travel and lifestyle brands will be a plus!
