Overview
The candidate should have good analytical, leadership, English communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the environment and health performance deliverables to accomplish the Lender’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Environment and Social Manager for the compliant environment and health deliverables.
- Monitor and evaluate the environment and health relevant performance deliverables of the Subcontractors and ensure compliance to the Lender’s performance standards.
- Ensure the Subcontractors environment and health undertakings to the legal compliance.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Environment and health risk assessment and mitigation.
- Periodically audit the Subcontractors environment and health performance and take immediate corrective actions.
- Develop the environment and health strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environment science, public health, management or related field from reputed institution.
- Proven working experience of minimum 5 years in similar works, capacity and organization. Candidate with the similar work experience in the international organization or donor agencies is desired.
- Proactive with strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Knowledge and experience in IFC performance standards.
- Ability to discuss and convenience the community, workers and the subcontractors..
Note
Duration: One year with possibility of extension till the end of the Project (Project Completion:
31st Dec. 2026)
Duty Station: Project Site, Rasuwa Nepal with travel as required by the work.
