JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES - RISK
· Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization, which includes analysis of the financial impact on the company when risk occurs.
· Performing a risk assessment: analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company.
· Performing a risk evaluation: Evaluating the company’s previous handling of risks and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements.
· Establishing the level of risk that companies are willing to accept.
· Educating the Partners about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks.
· Explaining the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders.
· Creating Business continuity plans to Limit risk.
· Conducting policy and compliance audits. Which will include liaising with internal and external auditors.
· Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals
· Building risk Awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES - FRAUD PREVENTION
· Conduct objective, fair, thorough, Unbiased, and timely investigations into allegations of fraud, committed against the company.
· Serve as primary fraud contact on all assigned cases, personally handling those of a complex nature.
· Prepare and coordinate field assignments to obtain relevant evidence and information.
· Meet regularly with management to review fraud trends and risks.
· Understand and adhere to the company’s risk and regularity standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the company’s risk appetite.
· Conduct regular audits to ensure we are catching new fraud opportunities while understanding the impact prior fraud initiatives are having on the business.
· Maintaining a variety of reports/processes and undertaking analysis to investigate potential fraudulent behavior to take appropriate actions.
· Identify efficiencies to internal anti-fraud processes.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES - COMPLIANCE
· Performing the due diligence in new clients, requesting the KYC information, documentation, review, and verification of received documentation and making an analytical risk assessment for new clients.
· Responsible for a good understanding of CBUAE ‘s KYC requirements.
· Ensure the organization's practices are in alignment with regulatory requirements.
· Suspected any cases should be reported within the timeframes required by the company policy.
· Getting governance policies reviewed, signed off and implemented by the stakeholders. Implementation of audit and compliance related findings.
· Reports to the Management Committees (GRC/ARC/CC) and Partners Audit Committee related to the top risks, emerging risks, governance related reports pertaining to policies, procedures, specific risk studies.
