Role Purpose: To identify potential regional brokers, communicate product knowledge and target-setting information, engage in joint sales with brokers, and develop improvements in line with KA & Corporate Sales broker distribution channel strategy.
Key Activities:
Broker New Sales
- Identify requirements of broker customers that are to be reflected in contract drafting.
- Communicate Tawuniya’s underwriting appetites and capabilities to brokers to promote Tawuniya as the preferred insurer for key market players.
- Communicate sales targets to brokers in line with pre-set strategy.
- Engage in information-sharing sessions with brokers to convey Tawuniya’s services and product specificities.
- Deliver policy proposals and related documents requested by brokers in a timely manner.
- Engage in joint sales with brokers in the region as needed to acquire new business.
- Communicate cross-selling and up-selling concepts and deliver technical support required to brokers to increase customer profile.
- Participate in broker technical training and contribute to sharing product-specific knowledge.
- Identify opportunities that can enhance workflow with brokers to enable efficient sales activities.
Policies, Procedures, and Processes
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity and attain high-quality outputs and cost-effective results in line with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Supervise day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with stipulated policies, procedures, and processes, and escalate identified non-compliance cases.
People Management
- Participate in acquiring and selecting potential new talent, integrating new joiners, and providing sufficient on-the-job training.
- Contribute to setting team members’ objectives, clarifying expectations, reviewing performance periodically, providing regular feedback, coaching, and confronting unsatisfactory behavior or performance.
- Support in identifying team members’ development requirements and the evaluation of learning interventions’ effectiveness on performance.
- Contribute to managing team members' working plans, e.g., leaves, working hours, etc.
- Promote a productive working environment.
Internal Stakeholder: Channel Management, Sales Planning, Sales Excellence, and Underwriting.
External Stakeholder: Brokers and Customers.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent is required.
knowledge and experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance or sales field.
