Job Summary:
PIF is seeking a candidate to join Internal Audit team To provide expertise to the review and appraisal of the soundness, adequacy, and compliance of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) operational and financial processes and controls to ensure the delivery of best-in-class assurance activities and to safeguard PIF's interests and facilitate operational effectiveness.
Role Requirements
Specialized Accountabilities:
- Provide expertise in the development and implementation of a risk-based internal audit plan for PIF’s non-investment areas (over finance/operations related matters and PIF projects), considering the associated risks, by participating in IA planning activities.
- Liaise on assigned engagements (non-investment areas’ control environment covering the 2nd line of defense and enabling functions) independently delivering high-quality and timely fieldwork for the allocated areas and seeking guidance from the Engagement Lead (EL) on more complex areas, as required.
- Provide expertise in performing integrated (engaging with Digital & Technology (D&T) and Business Operations teams as appropriate) as well as targeted audit reviews in accordance with risk-based audit plan.
- Advise in delivering elements of the engagement planning and reporting processes to support ELs in fulfilling their responsibilities (as delegated).
- Regularly updates to the EL on the progress of allocated areas of the engagement, promptly raising significant observations, proactively coordinating EL file reviews, and taking corrective actions to address issues impacting the engagement, where appropriate.
- Provide expertise in the observation closure validation activities within assigned timeframes.
- Provide advice on building relationships with Functional Audit stakeholders to enable effective knowledge sharing within the IA Division to enhance the team’s capabilities and practices.
- Advise on performing all relevant activities in line with the Division’s policies and procedures, including the IA Manual and the Delegation of Authority, and to ensure that QAIP feedback is appropriately addressed.
Qualifications / Years of Experience
- minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant field (or minimum 8 years for postgraduates).
- Bachelor’s in Audit, Accounting, Finance, Business, or any other relevant discipline.
- Any relevant certification such as IIA Internal Audit Practitioner, Certified Internal Auditor. (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), etc.
