Job Overview
The health care support worker role in the unplanned pregnancy service is a key member of the support team. The successful post holder will support medical and nursing teams in the delivery of care across a number of settings within the Caerphilly borough. The successful candidate must possess excellent organisational skills, this is particular important in the management of stock to support the day to day business of the service. You will also work alongside the team to provide and undertake asymptomatic testing for patients appointed to clinics.

Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Ability to carry out instructions accurately and efficiently. IT literate. Phlebotomy skills Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills ( written and verbal) Awareness of confidentiality Ability to work as part of a team as well as alone. Ability to complete competency based training to meet the needs of self –triaged patients. A good understanding of Sexual health.

- Previous experience working within a Healthcare role.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Agored Cymru level 3 diploma and/or minimum of level 3 education and relevant CPD courses specific to role and area of work.
Desirable criteria
- Have an ability to work towards a level 4 qualification
