Overview
The Junior Accountant plays a crucial role in the finance department, assisting with essential accounting processes that maintain the financial integrity of the organization. This position is pivotal for ensuring accurate and timely financial data, enabling better decision-making and strategic planning. The Junior Accountant will work under the supervision of the Senior Accountant and contribute to key accounting functions including bookkeeping, financial reports, and budget preparations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Process accounts are payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and verify account balances.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Perform data entry and update financial information in accounting software.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Monitor and track financial transactions and expenditures to ensure accuracy.
- Support the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Address and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
