Our London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE
The Commercial Planning function at Farfetch is a growing team of commercial and technical experts working to understand trading performance from both a supply and demand perspective, inform decisions to maximise opportunities and/or mitigate trading risks in the short term, and influence commercial levers to drive sustainable growth in the medium-long term.
The Junior Planning Analyst will report to the Lead Planning Analyst and be responsible for developing and running weekly/monthly trade reporting well as supporting on promotions planning and forecasting. This will be critical in helping us understand performance and identify levers to drive growth.
You will work closely with colleagues from across the business, including On-site Trading, Pricing, Merchandising, Brand & Boutique Management, Marketing and CRM, to build and optimise scalable tools and processes and drive continual improvement.
What You'll Do
- You will develop analytical tools, methodologies and processes in order to understand Trade through relevant lenses, such as:
- - Assessing promotional performance during key trading periods
- - Ongoing tracking and reporting of sales, cost and profitability performance vs budget
- - Assess and monitor supply levels and quality leveraging key supply metrics (e.g. Weeks of Cover, Sell-through, etc) and identifying/actioning on risks and opportunities
- - Assessing global and regional demand based on paid/non-paid performance as well as other on-site metrics (e.g. page views, click-through rate, etc)
- You will work with a variety of teams to formulate actions to manage trading risks or opportunities, and be directly involved in facilitating the decision-making process among senior leaders in this area
- You will support the Promotions planning & forecasting process through:
- - Owning the reporting to assess stock volume and quality for upcoming promotions
- - Support in the Promotions Forecasting process and continuous modelling improvements
- You will be the business partner to a large spectrum of key stakeholders from the business, in and out the commercial team, and this could range from:
- - Working with On-Site and Trade Marketing teams to understand weekly performance and support in Trade
- - Working with Pricing, Online Merchandising, Marketing & CRM teams to drive demand to the right product and identify and execute on levers to maximise the potential of our stock
- - Working with On-Site Trading and Brand Managers to guarantee optimal supply levels to deliver the promo targets
Who You Are
- Experience in Ecommerce, Analytics or Consulting
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Use data to bring operationally and commercially relevant insights
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders
- You have technical skills for processing and analysing large amounts of data:
- - Required: Excel (can perform complex functions) and SQL
- - Preferred: R, Matlab, Python
- Understanding and passion for e-commerce and the fashion/luxury industry is a very big plus!
