The Role
The Product Manager will report to the Senior Product Manager, as part of the Product Development department. Responsible for being a key support in delivering the 2-3-year rolling pipeline and launching new products across multiple categories including home fragrance, body care, skincare and gifting, this role will work cross-functionally and have full accountability for certain projects.
The role will work on both NPD and EPD from concept to launch, with a focus on maintaining margin and critical paths whilst delivery high quality, 100% naturally fragranced wellbeing products. This role expands our current team, helping to accelerate the brand globally through increased innovation and sustainability initiatives that positively impact our community through our 4 core pillars of ‘less stress, better sleep, more energy and mood boosts'.
What You Will Do
- Ensure on-time delivery of PD launches owned by the Product Manager
- Support the development, shape and delivery of the end-to-end NPD innovation pipeline across selected categories
- Managing CPAs and work to ensure all project elements move forward on a timely basis (including copy, design, legal/claims approval, translations, artwork and proofing, component samples, formulation samples, testing and SKU code creation etc.)
- Support and feed into the NPD Gate process
- Be at the forefront of market insights, global trends, sustainability innovation, the customer and internal commercial reviews to enhance and develop the product pipeline
- Creation of new product briefs and liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to source componentry, packaging, and new formulation samples
- Track existing products commercially, ensuring all new launches are profitable and margin enhancing. Recommend margin, regulatory and manufacturing improvements to portfolio
- Support strategic channel-specific growth through PD exclusives, limited editions, bespoke sizes and partnerships
- Responsible for organising and coordinating samples for photography, press and retailers
- Create the internal Product Information Manuals to upskill the wider teams to support sell ins, marketing idea generation and product knowledge for all departments
- Make recommendations for retail pricing on new product launches and giftsets in accordance with global guidelines and competitor reviews
- Compile costings for new product development, ensuring it meets target margins and RRPs
- NPD champion within the business and integral member of the PD team
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Product Development or similar position
- Proven success with on time and on budget project delivery; experience with managing and monitoring CPA's
- Interested in, but not limited to, candidates with some experience in beauty, personal care and/or home fragrance categories
- Ability to multi-task with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Natural self-starter who demonstrates initiative and confidence to put forward new ideas and tackles challenges proactively
- Genuine passion for product, wellbeing & the brand
- Good team player, able to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers, both internally and externally
- Strong communication skills and confident presenter
- Commercial acumen including Product costing and margins, sales analysis and budget tracking
- Solid experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
