The role
We are looking for a sales leader with an excellent track record of managing sales functions, identifying market opportunities, growing market share, and delivering revenue through top class sales leadership.
You will have a passion for people development, focusing on continuous feedback, performance optimisation, and coaching. You will be an expert in coaching teams to prospecting techniques, pipeline management, forecasting, discovery, demos and contract negotiations.
Reporting to the CRO (Chief Revenue Officer), you will help to optimise the BDM team, and help them exceeding targets and KPIs. You will have a further focus on performance optimisation and market strategy, as well as working in partnership with the team on enterprise opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Act as an inspirational sales leader with charisma and energy to improve the team’s performance and effectiveness to deliver against revenue targets
- Work closely with your counterpart in North America to stablish standards and Team Sales goals.
- Manage the existing BDMs Team (8-10 pax) and ensure that they consistently deliver productivity KPIs. Recruit, induct, and train more BDMs when necessary.
- Continuously report on, and improve conversion rates, AOV, and output through coaching, call listening, training and 1-2-1 development plans.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team to generate the best leads. Monitor, track and improve conversion rates throughout the lead and opportunity process.
- Contribute to competitive analysis for key markets, industries, and customer segments.
- Provide accurate and timely business information to Senior Management through consistent forecasting and reporting of metrics and KPIs.
- Leverage sales data, enablement, and engagement tech to ensure maximum quality, output and efficiency of the sales team.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- 8-10+ years of managerial experience in a sales function.
- Thrive in rapid transformation and growth environments (e.g. SaaS, Technology, Internet, Data).
- Experience exceeding targets in a pure New Business generation and KPI driven environments.
- Excellent communication skills, confident, impeccable presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience producing and executing comprehensive new business sales plans and revenue forecasting abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional time and capacity management ability.
- Strong teamwork and influencing skills; the ability to collaborate with key internal stakeholders and departments to achieve objectives within tight time frames.
