Hawkwood are currently partnering with a VC-backed wellbeing start-up to hire a Talent Acquisition Lead! With over 50 employees globally and a remote-first culture, our client is building out their People and Talent function to support the next phase of growth. 📈
This is an exciting period of change for the business, and they are seeking a Talent Acquisition Leader who is passionate about fostering a high-performance culture. In addition to hands-on hiring, this role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to shape the People strategy and lead key People projects. Reporting directly to the C-Suite, you will play a crucial role in defining both the Talent and People agenda.

The Role:
Talent Acquisition:
- Own the end-to-end hiring process for roles across the business, including Senior Leadership roles.
- Develop talent pipelines through sourcing, community engagement and referral generation.
- Finding and engage active/passive candidates through various channels.
- Lead in delivering the best recruitment process and candidate experience.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, helping them to understand the value of good Talent and People practices.
- Build and maintain an exceptional employer brand, enhancing the business reputation in the market.
People:
- Lead the ongoing development and refinement of the business EVP.
- Embed the values into hiring, performance management, and employee development processes.
- Champion initiatives that support remote working practices.
- Lead workforce planning and ensure hiring priorities align with business needs.
- Facilitate discussions with department heads to proactively manage talent gaps and forecast future requirements.
You will be a good fit if you have:
- Experience in managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from engagement to offer.
- Evidence of successfully recruiting talent into a start-up with a high bar.
- A data-driven approach to capacity planning and workload management.
- Comfortable flexing between a strategic People and Talent role and being hands-on role across both day-to-day recruitment, people projects and BAU.
- Experience in shaping and fostering a high-performance, feedback-driven culture.
- Experience working within a start-up/VC-backed technology company.
