Position Overview
An unparalleled opportunity exists for an accomplished leader to join a Large Multi-National Apparel & Fashion Retail Organization as the President of Retail. This high-impact role will shape the future of our global apparel and fashion business, overseeing all aspects of leadership, P&L accountability, retail operations, and innovation. Reporting to the Group CEO, the President of Retail will drive strategic growth and operational excellence across diverse international markets, ensuring our brand maintains its leadership position in the dynamic apparel and fashion landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision & Leadership: Define and lead the strategic vision for the global retail division, developing comprehensive plans to achieve growth objectives, expand market share, and elevate brand positioning in the apparel and fashion market.
- P&L Accountability: Manage the full P&L for the retail division, focusing on maximizing profitability through effective budgeting, pricing, cost management, and strategic investments to drive long-term value.
- Retail Operations Excellence: Oversee end-to-end retail operations globally, establishing high standards for in-store experiences, digital and omnichannel integration, and supply chain efficiency to create seamless customer interactions.
- Innovation & Brand Differentiation: Drive innovative initiatives in product offerings, store concepts, digital transformation, and sustainability to keep the brand at the forefront of fashion and meet evolving customer expectations.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Champion a customer-first mindset across all markets, ensuring that each touchpoint reflects our brand values and enhances customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Executive Leadership & Culture Building: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and high achievement that aligns with the company’s values and goals.
- Stakeholder & Partnership Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brand partners, suppliers, and investors, to support business objectives and drive mutual success.
Qualifications
- Extensive Retail Leadership: 15+ years of senior leadership experience in retail, with significant experience in the apparel and fashion sectors and a strong track record in multi-market management.
- Financial Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale P&L with a strategic focus on cost efficiency, pricing, and revenue growth within the apparel and fashion industry.
- Operational Mastery: Deep understanding of global retail operations, including supply chain, merchandising, omnichannel strategies, and store operations that optimize customer experience and drive efficiency.
- Innovative Mindset: Proven ability to lead digital and customer experience transformation, sustainability efforts, or other forward-thinking initiatives that set the brand apart in the fashion market.
- Global Perspective & Cultural Sensitivity: Adept at leading diverse, international teams and adapting strategies to different market dynamics with strong cultural intelligence.
