Job Description
The Details
This Finance Analyst position sits within the Proposition Finance team, in Commercial Finance. As an Analyst you will be focused on predominantly supporting the Returns team, with opportunities to work across Sales, Discounts and Marketing within the wider Proposition team. This role is perfect for someone with an interest in Commercial Finance with a true focus on Customer.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct weekly Trade reporting, to analyse sales mixes and impacts to Returns, shared with senior stakeholders.
- Provide commentary on Returns rate movements vs prior year and forecast and share insights to drive improved performance.
- Analyse movements in FX and impacts to Returns received back, to support month end.
- Involved in tracking performance metrics, analysing complex data and building reports to better understand Returns rate impacts and support key initiatives.
- Support stakeholders with ad-hoc projects and initiatives, focused on better performance for customers.
- Build trusted relationships with the wider Finance organisation and the Commercial teams.
- Support our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies
Qualifications
About You
- Someone with a strong interest in Commercial Finance and appetite to learn more
- Commercially aware within the retail industry
- A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
- Basic Excel skills required, and interest in expanding skillset to other platforms i.e. SQL, MicroStrategy and TM1
- An ability to work independently and to take initiative
- Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Desire to gain a recognised accountancy qualification, or part-qualified and in process of completing studies.
