Firmdale Hotels is seeking an ambitious and motivated Social Media Executive to join the PR & Marketing Team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing an insight-led social media strategy across our hotel brands, in line with the wider PR and marketing objectives.
You will play a key role in enhancing Firmdale’s online presence by creating engaging content, managing our social media platforms, and fostering meaningful interactions with our online community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and driven individual who is passionate about storytelling, content creation, and staying up to date with the latest trends in social media. You will be working closely with the Head of Social Media & Content to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience, while showcasing the unique experiences that Firmdale Hotels has to offer across London and New York.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely and reporting to the Head of Social Media & Content you will execute an insight-led social media strategy across hotel channels in line with wider PR and marketing objectives
- Copywriting, content creation, publishing and community management for Firmdale’s social media platforms, ensuring content speaks to our brand purpose, researching interesting and value-driven hotel stories.
- Research upcoming trends and updates within the social media landscape.
- Attend meetings with travel and lifestyle content creators and journalists.
- Support the Head of Social Media & Content in the planning and creation of compelling content across in-feed, Reels, Instagram Stories and Instagram Guides.
- Visit our London hotels to capture video content for Instagram Reels.
- Help manage influencer and content creator requests and collaborations, assisting the PR team in planning, organising and reporting on all stays.
- Support influencer outreach working with targeted individuals who align with our brand and deliver strategic results across London and New York.
- Compile weekly hotel coverage reports and share social media coverage with stakeholders to track KPIs, providing continuous insights and learnings on content performance.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience in social media ideally in hospitality, and able to provide examples of work you have done before that drive results.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging, brand-aligned content.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- You’re passionate about creative visual assets and have the ability to create content using Canva, Adobe Suite, Photoshop and video editing apps
- Knowledge of social media trends and a passion for storytelling and creativity.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, being able to jump from hotel to hotel.
- Experience using social media scheduling tools and apps like Sprout to help manage day-to-day of running content management for multiple hotels.
- Experience working with influencers and content creators, with a keen understanding of digital PR and brand partnerships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, results-driven mind-set, with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
