Job Purpose: To provide excellent customer service and generate sales by assisting customers in finding and purchasing merchandise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet customers, identify their needs and provide assistance.
- Recommend products and explain their features and benefits.
- Assist customers in selecting merchandise, suggesting additional items and upselling products.
- Process sales transactions, including handling cash and credit card payments, and issuing receipts and change.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and cleaning merchandise.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure excellent customer service and achieve sales goals.
- Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge through training and learning opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior sales experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
