Summary
The Financial Controller is a key role reporting into the Divisional Finance Director and will be
responsible for managing the full division financials statements and month end accounting process. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, be ambitious, and be an excellent communicator. The individual should be comfortable working in an international environment.
Job Scope and Responsibilities
• Prepare and oversee financial statements.
• Line management of the accounting department, ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
• Accountable for Treasury and Cashflow Accounts payable & Receivables
• Responsible for division procurement policy.
• Ensure compliance with FTA and Financial Audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Liaise with external auditors during audits and manage relationships with financial institutions.
• Monitor cash flow and manage treasury functions.
• Provide leadership and training to accounting staff.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
• Create monthly Financial Accounts
• Conduct financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
Qualifications
• Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA or similar)
• Hands on experience of accounting software like Dynamics 365 and SAP/Oracle ideal.
• 5 Years Post Qualified Experience and coming from a Big 4 background in Audit.
• Motivated and ambitious individual with a desire to advance their career and become a leader.
• Experience of UAE corporate tax and VAT an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
