JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant with a background in Real Estate Development to manage the invoicing, collections and reconciliation processes for our company.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Salesforce, have a degree in accounting and possess strong analytical and customer relationship skills. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely collections and supporting the finance team with comprehensive receivables reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collections & Monitoring:
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections from clients.
- Prepare AR aging reports and collections forecasts for the finance team and management.
Account Reconciliation:
- Regularly reconcile customer accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
- Track and record deposits accurately to maintain an up-to-date customer ledger.
Payment Processing:
- Process and apply customer payments, including checks, bank transfers, or online payments, to relevant accounts.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for billing and receipt-related inquiries, responding to CRM team questions and requests.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams to address account issues and inquiries promptly.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and communication for audit and compliance purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience of 2-5 years in accounts receivable, preferably within the real estate industry.
- Experience working with Salesforce.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams and clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis.
