We are currently looking for a Chief Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Accounting Team.
- Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations.
- Ensure that all queries are being responded to and dealt with correctly and in a timely manner.
- Give support to the team with month and year-end closings.
- Plans internal audits by understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations; identifying risk areas; preparing audit scope and objectives; preparing audit programs.
- Assesses compliance with financial regulations and controls by executing audit program steps; testing general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Assesses risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues.
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Maintain proper record for the daily sales for all the outlets.
- Control if the outlets are following the financial policies of Sunset Hospitality Group.
- Make regular visits to the outlets for the purpose of internal audit.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and schedules.
- Analyzing the monthly reports e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet, cost report, sales reports etc.
- Conducting financial analysis of the company.
- Coordinate with the internal and external auditor to complete the yearly audit and other ad-hoc audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in finance from a reputable university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the similar roles in the industry
- Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations or other accounting designations
- Knowledgeable of MS Office Applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
