We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This individual will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring timely financial reporting, and maintaining finances. The accountant will collaborate closely with various departments, including production, sales, and marketing, to ensure effective financial management in compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with UAE financial regulations.
2. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
3. Process journal entries for revenue, expenses, and general accounting transactions.
4. Generate and dispatch invoices for advertising clients, sponsors, and business partners.
5. Follow up on overdue invoices, manage collections, and resolve billing issues with the sales and marketing teams.
6. Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws, including VAT, payroll taxes, and other applicable regulations.
7. Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements.
8. Track staff mobile bills, record them in the system and follow up for reimbursement of personal calls.
9. Responsible for shipping equipment between the head office and Bureaus.
10. Ensure that the shipping transactions from and to Bureaus are properly done according to the country's regulations and on time.
11. Issuing the proper insurance for all the shipping transactions done in the company.
12. Responsible for the courier function and ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of all documents
13. Review the courier company invoices to ensure accuracy of the invoices.
14. Support external audits by providing required financial documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
15. Work closely with the production, sales, and marketing teams to track budgets, costs, and revenue projections.
16. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and filing.
17. Assist with general accounting duties, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACCA, CPA, or CA certification is a plus
- 3-5 years of accounting experience in UAE
- Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Budgeting skills
- Experience in managing financial transactions and maintaining financial records
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
