Overall Job Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic National Account Manager (Amazon) to be a part of our exceptional team.
To succeed in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of Amazon, having gained at least 2+ years of valuable experience managing all aspects of the account, from providing regular accurate forecasts, ensuring commercial profitability by managing chargebacks to resolving logistical challenges, as well as executing A+ content. You must be fluent in the language of Amazon, familiar with their operational processes, metrics, and industry best practices.
As well as managing Amazon, you will also have responsibility for other defined customers. Therefore, you should possess experience having managed UK retailers, ideally being able to demonstrate an understanding of forecasting, JBPs and P&Ls. The ideal candidate would be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, naturally curious and creative in identifying opportunities for growth.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the Amazon account, managing all aspects from product setup to optimising listings, analysing metrics and resolving operational issues such as chargebacks
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators including IDQ reports, consumer reviews, page rankings and content quality on Amazon
- Act as a category leader for Amazon, leveraging market data to influence account decisions and ensure optimal range proposals
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on digital content and promotional strategies tailored to Amazon
- As well as Amazon, manage other defined customers within a portfolio of Accounts
- Drive maximum sell in/sell out by creating strategic sales forecasts and implementing innovative growth initiatives
- Regularly review stock and sales performance, providing actionable recommendations to improve customer satisfaction and market share
- Create and implement effective promotional plans, ensuring timely execution of campaigns to achieve measurable objectives
- Provide clear and insightful reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and progress tracking against goals
People Specification
- ESSENTIAL: Proven track record in traditional/retail account management (e.g. managing high street retailers or grocers) prior to transitioning into Amazon account management
- ESSENTIAL: Minimum 3 years' experience in Account Management of which a minimum 2 years' experience specifically with Amazon. Able to demonstrate proven success including; AMS marketing, improving sales performance and operational effectiveness.
- ESSENTIAL: Full, clean driving license for the UK with flexibility to travel as required
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated negotiation and relationship building skills
- Proficient in analysing data and generating actionable insights, with up-to-date proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively
- A collaborative team player with the ability to build strong internal and external partnerships
- DESIRABLE: Experience managing accounts for multiple channels alongside Amazon
- DESIRABLE: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and tools such as PowerBI, GA/GA4 or similar
