A prestigious luxury hotel in Albania is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Cook specializing in meat preparation. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef, providing support in preparing high-quality meat dishes while ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The Assistant Cook must be able to work under pressure, assist in creating diverse meat-based dishes, and step in for the chef when needed. Additionally, the candidate must have a strong sense of plate dressing and aesthetics, ensuring that each dish meets the hotel’s fine dining presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking premium meat dishes.
- Master various cooking techniques, including grilling, roasting, sous vide, and smoking.
- Ensure high-quality plating and dish presentation, maintaining luxury aesthetic standards.
- Support in menu development and execution of new dishes.
- Step in for the Executive Chef when required, managing kitchen operations when needed.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
- Work efficiently under high-pressure conditions, meeting strict service deadlines.
- Monitor food inventory and assist in ingredient procurement.
- Ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and plating across all dishes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Cook, Line Cook, or Junior Chef in a fine dining or luxury hotel setting.
- Specialized knowledge in meat preparation and cooking techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in plate presentation and aesthetics.
- Ability to handle high-pressure kitchen environments.
- Flexibility and willingness to step up when the Executive Chef is absent.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification is preferred.
