A Bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. They are skilled in mixology, customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the bar area.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Beverage Preparation:
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Mix and garnish cocktails with precision and creativity.
• Innovate and create signature cocktails or drink specials.
2. Customer Service:
• Greet guests, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Engage in friendly conversations to create a welcoming environment.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns promptly and professionally.
3. Bar Management:
• Maintain stock levels by restocking bottles, garnishes, and other supplies.
• Manage cash and card transactions accurately.
• Keep track of inventory and report low-stock items to management.
4. Cleanliness & Safety:
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards, including proper handling of glassware and equipment.
• Adhere to all local laws and regulations regarding the serving of alcohol.
5. Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with servers and other staff to ensure seamless service.
• Assist with special events or high-traffic periods as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Certification in alcohol awareness (e.g., TIPS or similar) is a plus.
• Previous experience as a bartender or in a related role is preferred.
Work Environment:
