1. Role Objective
JOB CONTENT
To execute a range of tasks related to conveying the policies and interests of the organization to the public through various forms of media and Public Relations tools; finding ways to direct information to various groups such as stakeholders, consumers, or the general public as well as maintain a strong network of industry connections to increase organization awareness within the agreed timelines and guidelines set and followed by the Company.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
Operational:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with policymakers, government officials, local community, and industry groups.
- Support to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, consumer, employee, and public interest groups to support organization goals.
- Support and implement corporate social responsibility plan and programs for Port of Duqm in consultation with the senior management.
- Support Media & Communication Team in maintenance of Port of Duqm’s website in terms of availability and updating of appropriate content.
- Support Media & Communication Team in evaluating opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising for the company on an on-going basis.
- Identifying and managing potential risks that could impact the company, including governmental regulations or compliance challenges.
- Support in organizing meetings, trainings, workshops, ,and prepare meeting minutes, internal and external reports as required.
- Manage event schedules
- Prepare memos, external correspondence, spreadsheets, etc
- Support internal marketing team for developing to reach out a large number of audiences, and well-designed website giving out all the required information to the customers and corporates about the company and its services.
- Support Media & Communication team in preparing company brochures, press releases, newsletters for employees, handouts, company magazines whenever assigned.
- Complete all other related tasks as assigned from time to time by the reporting manager or management.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Public Relations, or proving Experience in related field. or as per the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix in PODC.
Experience:
4 - 6 years of experience in corporate affairs, general management or in any related fields. or as per the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix in PODC.
