Responsible for overseeing the development process of footwear products from concept to store shelves. This involves managing the design development life cycle, from design concept through prototyping, sampling, and production.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Research colour and style trend analysis and communicates to Product Development team via samples, trend boards
- Should have knowledge of specific categories like EVA Injection, Licensee products and technical knowledge of molds and constructions.
- Provide clear communications to vendors and factories throughout all phases of product development
- Execute footwear sketches and colour ups for seasonal footwear presentations
- Compiling and distributing of seasonal development information to product development partners and key vendors
- Ensure the design integrity is met throughout the entire product development process from concept through manufacturing
- Coordinate, manage and maintain seasonal materials, color standards, and presentation boards
- Research and forecast market trends, material, color and silhouettes
- Complete accurate technical packages that adhere to Kohl's testing, construction & quality standards
- Develop comprehensive graded specs (WebPDM)
- Develop signature construction standards
