• Preparing pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings
• Rolling out and topping pizzas with ingredients, as per recipes
• Knowledge of ingredients, recipes, and pizza-making process
• Ability to perform pizza-making duties without supervision
• Cooking pizzas in wood-fired, gas or electric oven
• Monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times.
• Removing pizzas from oven and preparing them for serving or sale
• Preparing high-quality pizzas according to restaurant menu.
• Ensuring countertops are kept clean and tidy and maintaining oven and cooking utensils
• Managing all food order slips and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely
manner
• Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.
• Staying updated on new menu items.
• Coordinating with other kitchen and dining room staff
