The Senior Creative (Photography, Videographer and Design) works with the Head of Creative Design and the Marketing Team to represent Edwardian Hotels London’s company identity. The role requires cross-functional working with other disciplines to develop innovative solutions for Edwardian Hotels London across print, web and digital platforms. Create engaging content that helps sell and market products.
Photographer Responsibilities
- Take the brief to understand specifications and work closely with F&B and marketing teams
- Capture and process images until you achieve desired results
- Direct models for the poses, mood and overall feel of the product shots
- Constantly improve image quality using various editing methods
- Use and maintain modern and traditional technical equipment (cameras, lenses, etc)
- Arrange objects, scenes, lighting and background and adhere to specifications
- Ensure that all photo equipment is looked after and stored away correctly
- Archive photographic images and maintain database
- Keep abreast of photographic best practices and procedures
- Suggest innovative ideas regarding lighting and shooting techniques
- Camera equipment is for work purposes only. Do not use the equipment for personal projects
Videographer Responsibilities
- Take the brief to understand specifications and work closely with F&B and marketing teams
- Film videos on set or on location
- Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working
- Plan the shoot with the creative team and the client
- Edit footage in post-production
- Direct other camera operators so that the required footage is acquired
Design Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts that support Edwardian’s brand strategy.
- Guard the individual brand identities across Edwardian’s portfolio of hotels, restaurants and spas.
- Lead creative sessions for project start-ups and oversee through to completion.
- Establish creative direction across the entire line collateral and online distribution.
- Collaborate with the creative team, account team, strategy team, and copywriters to
generate innovative and commercially viable concepts for campaigns and projects.
- Experience managing designers within the team and juggling deadlines and priorities.
- Keep the creative product cutting edge and ahead of our competition.
- Build an award-winning creative portfolio.
- Manage project quality control and meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage print suppliers.
Required Skills
- Proven industry experience as a Senior Designer.
- A portfolio featuring luxury background within design, brand development, interactive commerce
and the creative process.
- Exceptional creativity and innovation, demonstrating strong ideas in action.
- A passion and fluency for typography and layout.
- Experience presenting your work and communicating ideas.
- A desire to push boundaries and go the extra mile.
- Proficient with Apple.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator,
Photoshop (Premiere Pro an advantage).
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
- An ability to stay calm under pressure and to give and receive constructive criticism.
