Job Accountabilities:
The role will be part of the communication stream. The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for executing public relations strategies and initiatives, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting the company's overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement public relations strategies: Align public relations strategies with the company's overall marketing and communication strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, mission, and values.
Manage media relations: Develop and implement media relations plans, including proactive outreach, press release distribution, and media event coordination.
Engage with stakeholders: Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government, community groups, and media outlets.
Respond to public inquiries: Develop and implement procedures for handling public inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses.
Monitor public perception: Track and analyze public sentiment towards the company, identifying potential issues and opportunities for positive engagement.
Develop and implement crisis communication plans: Prepare for and manage potential crises, ensuring effective communication and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with other departments, including marketing and business Units, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all communication channels.
Stay abreast of industry trends: Stay updated on best practices and evolving trends in public relations, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance company communication efforts.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, marketing, media relations, Journalism, or a related field.
+4 years of experience in public relations, marketing, or media in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in a development organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and tailor messages to different audiences.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and influencers.
Experience with crisis communication and media management.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
