We are seeking a skilled Accountant - O2C to join the Finance Department of a leading semi-government organization in Dubai. This role involves overseeing the Order-to-Cash cycle, ensuring accurate financial data, and supporting data migration initiatives. The position reports to the Finance Manager.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process, ensuring timely invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation.
- Perform account reconciliations, comparing ledger balances with supporting documentation and identifying discrepancies for resolution.
- Collaborate on data migration projects, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with system requirements during migration to Oracle Fusion or EBS.
- Compile reconciliation reports to support transparent and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare financial statements in adherence to IFRS standards.
- Generate reports, including aging analysis and collection trends, to provide insights into accounts receivable performance.
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency in the O2C cycle.
- Support senior management with ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or O2C roles, preferably in a shared services environment.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion and/or EBS and familiarity with their application in O2C processes.
- Proven track record of participating in data migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with keen attention to detail.
- Certification such as ACCA, CA Inter, or specialization in Accounts Receivable is advantageous.
