We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Finance Manager to join our team. This role will work closely with, and report directly to, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
As Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate reporting of the Group’s financial results on a monthly and annual basis. Additionally, you will support the CFO by providing critical insights and analyses of the Group’s trading performance and financial position, contributing to key financial and commercial decision-making.
The Key Responsibilities are summarized as follows:
Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and finalize the consolidated monthly management accounts in accordance with IFRS, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement and detailed schedules and sub-schedules.
- Review individual entity-level GL & TB and finalize monthly and annual financial statements of all group companies, working alongside the respective junior finance managers
- Prepare and finalize quarterly and half-yearly cash flow forecasts to assist senior management in critical decision-making processes
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of relevant IFRS standards within the team, with ownership of Group and Subsidiary accounting policies.
- Draft and finalize board packs and manage reporting to lenders, investors and other key stakeholders.
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and finalize VAT, Corporate Tax and other related filings and submissions on a timely basis across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist with tax planning and structuring activities
- Independently manage and complete annual statutory audit of all group entities, along with completion of all necessary legal compliance procedures, within stipulated timelines.
Systems and Controls
- Lead and assume key user status with the implementation of the new ERP / integrated accounting system
- Develop and document a strong internal control framework to support the present and planned growth objectives of the Group.
Qualifications and Background
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be expected to possess and consistently demonstrate:
- Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years post qualification experience, having trained for a considerable period of time with a reputable accounting firm, in an IFRS reporting environment
- Experience of implementing / working extensively with ERP packages such as MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle etc
- Experience with commodity trading or a commodity related industry is not essential but would be preferred.
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and critically
- Proactive problem solver and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Strong motivator and an ability to manage a team of accountants and finance managers.
