Alpha Blue Ocean™ is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its team in the Dubai office.
ABO is proud of its talented team, strong industry relationships, and its commitment to long-term success. We deploy a variety of hybrid debt and equity financing solutions for micro and small-cap listed companies throughout the world, mostly in mature markets. The main business model is to deploy Private Investments in Public Equities (Structured PIPE Deals).
The role will be suitable for a candidate who is highly analytical, motivated, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of financial reporting in the financial sector.
DUTIES
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts.
• Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the financial sector.
• Previous experience in a reputable auditing firm is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
