Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental policies across all project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management and a passion for promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors on health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
- Maintain and update safety records, permits, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and accessible on-site.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging participation and feedback from all team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate HSE requirements into project plans and activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3–7 years of proven experience as an HSE Officer in the construction industry.
- Location: Candidate must be available in Saudi Arabia.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and international standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools and techniques.
- Experience in delivering safety training programs.
