Position Summary
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) manages all government-related matters, maintains positive relationships with relevant authorities, and ensures compliance with local regulations. The role also involves facilitating visa processing, work permits, renewals, and other formalities required for the organization’s operations in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
1. Government Relations
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and government offices, ministries, and other regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with all government laws, regulations, and procedures.
Manage applications, renewals, and cancellations of visas, work permits, and residency permits (Iqama).
Stay updated on changes in government laws and regulations and communicate their implications to management.
2. Legal Documentation and Compliance
Handle the processing and documentation of employment contracts, commercial licenses, and other regulatory requirements.
Oversee the renewal of trade licenses, GOSI registration, and related activities.
Ensure that the company’s records are accurate and up-to-date with government authorities.
3. Visa and Immigration Services
Process visa applications (employment, visit, business, and family visas) in coordination with relevant authorities.
Coordinate medical check-ups and other requirements for employee visa processing.
Handle the exit/re-entry procedures and final exit formalities for employees.
4. Communication and Coordination
Build and maintain strong relationships with key personnel in government entities.
Represent the company in legal matters and other government interactions.
Collaborate with HR and Admin teams to streamline processes related to employee onboarding and offboarding.
5. Support and Reporting
Provide regular updates to management on the status of government-related processes and applications.
Maintain a database of all documentation, permits, and renewals.
Assist in audits or inspections by regulatory authorities.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
Proven knowledge of Saudi labour laws, immigration procedures, and government processes.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of Saudi government systems and e-portals (e.g., Muqeem, Qiwa, Absher).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Arabic and English.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant online platforms.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage time-sensitive processes.
Other Requirements
Nationality: Saudi National (mandatory as per local requirements).
Language Proficiency: Fluent in Arabic and English.
Driving License: A valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
