Position Overview
A Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling designs that communicate ideas effectively to target audiences. This role involves working with various digital and print media to design marketing materials, branding assets, and other visual content that aligns with the organization's goals and brand identity.
The designer collaborates with marketing teams, content creators, and clients to deliver high-quality visuals that enhance user engagement and brand recognition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Creative Development
Conceptualize and create graphics for print and digital media, including advertisements, brochures,
banners, logos, websites, and social media content.
Develop designs that align with the organization’s brand guidelines and visual identity.
Translate complex concepts into visually appealing and understandable designs.
2. Branding and Visual Identity
Create and maintain consistent visual branding across all materials and platforms.
Develop logos, color schemes, typography, and other elements that define the brand.
Refresh and update branding assets as needed to keep the brand modern and relevant.
3. Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with marketing, content, and development teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
Present design concepts and ideas to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into revisions.
Ensure alignment between design output and project goals.
4. Multimedia and Digital Design
Design user-friendly interfaces for websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms.
Create motion graphics, videos, or animations for promotional campaigns and social media content.
Optimize designs for web and print production, ensuring high-quality output.
5. Project Management
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Maintain organized project files and ensure proper version control.
Communicate project updates and timelines to team members and stakeholders.
6. Tools and Technology Proficiency
Utilize design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and other relevant tools.
Stay updated on emerging design trends, techniques, and technologies.
Experiment with new tools and techniques to improve design workflows.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Experience with digital design tools and web technologies (Figma, Sketch, HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus).
Knowledge of printing processes and preparation of files for production.
