Position Summary
A highly experienced Senior Accountant who plays a critical role in the financial integrity of the organization. This involves working on complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing financial insights that contribute to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the daily operations of accounting department including Accounts Receivable/Payable and General Ledger
2. Manage fixed asset and lapsing schedule
3. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, including account reconciliations and analysis
4. Prepare financial statement in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations
5. Stay updated on accounting best practices and changes in the financial regulations in the UAE
6. Manage tax filings and government reportorial compliance ensuring no discrepancies or penalties
7. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with audit requirements
8. Analyse financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making
9. Collaborate with the Finance team and be flexible to support other members if necessary
10. Assist in preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Requirements
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional financial experience in UAE, with solid understanding of UAE accounting practices, VAT and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Oracle, Quickbooks & MS Office)
• Experience in leading a team - Staff management and development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both internally and externally and ability to work in multicultural environment
• Sound technical finance skills.
• Ability to recognize areas of self-development and work with the wider team to enhance own skill set.
Desirable
• Professional certification (such as CPA, CMA or ACCA) is a plus
• Experience in shared services for UK/ Ireland set up
