Let's give you a quick sneak peek into the life of an Assistant Manager Research & Development
As Assistant Manager Research & Development, you will be assisting the head of R&D in the implementation of R&D goals and activities and ensuring the delivery of Company’s goals towards the portfolio of Business To Business (B2B). To effectively participate in the product development, understand the requirements of customer, fill the gap between the customer and improve existing products in Shan’s Brand Portfolio.
Things you will be doing as an Assistant Manager Research & Development
- Manage projects related to B2B product development, plant installation, process improvement, toll manufacturing, supplier development & process designing etc.
- Understand the requirement of institutional customer(s) & prepare action plan in light of customers’ need
- Demonstrate the product profile & application methodology to the customer
- Conduct internal & external application trial & provide guidelines to the direct consumer through application(s)
- Ensure adherence to allergen control measures at all times
- Follow documentation of all phases of research and development such as design input, verification & validation etc.
- Conduct gap analysis & present the finding to the management
- Transfer new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes into and out of the company (Toll Manufacturing)
- Provide support in new application trials & determine improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers
- Conduct & evaluate sensory evaluation
- Responsible to develop, review & update SOPs
- Fulfil the requirement of global standards such as BRC, QMS, FSSC, Halal certification & PSQCA
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for matters pertaining to food product development & other related issues
- Ensure Halal conformity is maintained at all levels
What we are looking for in you
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical) / Food Sciences / Chemistry or a related field
- Sound knowledge of FSMS, ISO 9000 BRC & Halal Certification
- Minimum 4-5 years of multifaceted post-qualification experience in Food company
- Interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Good reading & writing skills in English & Urdu
