We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant with a strong background in financial management and reporting to join our team in UAE. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in finance, preferably within the UAE or Middle East region. Experience in the manufacturing & contracting industry is a significant plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation calculations.
- Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- 10 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
