Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accounts Manager at LIFE Pharmacy in Dubai. The Senior Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. They will also be involved in financial planning and strategy, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of annual operating budgets and long-term financial plans.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and targets.
- Streamline financial & accounting processes and procedures, develop SOPs to optimize functional efficiency.
Profitability & Inventory Management
- Monitor and analyze retail expenses, including payroll, occupancy costs, and operational expenses.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability through expense management initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels, turnover, and aging to minimize excess inventory and obsolescence
Audits & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the retail / clinics & medical Centre division in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal controls, including VAT, Corporate tax
- Act as SPOC for coordination with external & internal audit teams including formulating audit programs, monitoring report implementation etc.
- Coordinate audits and examinations by external auditors or regulatory agencies
ERP / BI
- Lead the overall BI tool implementation project, including defining project scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Ensure data migration processes are defined and executed to migrate legacy data into the new system accurately.
- Act as Finance SME for any changes to ERP solution
Qualifications
- Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis skills
- Experience in financial planning and strategy
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
- Ability to manage and oversee accounting activities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus
