Desired Profiles
We are looking for a Senior General Accountant to assist in organizing the finances and accounting processes of the company along with handling invoicing and operations regarding shipments, procurements and other supplier-related activities on a day-to-day function. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of tasks with at least 5-6 years of experience and a strong commitment to optimizing finances and understanding different accounting principles (as we cover companies in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Italy). This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion in addition to having great time-management and interpersonal skills seeing as they will be working closely with the team and the Managing Director.
The General Accountant’s daily function will include handling all bank transactions, financial reporting, coordination with third parties, invoicing, creating clear financial databases, handling employee compensations, generate audits, updating cash flow statements weekly, handling custom duties, building budgets, building and referencing procurement sheets, optimizing P&Ls, creating mark-up sheets for projects, optimizing costs and providing general financial consultancy to the Managing Director as well as keeping her informed across all stages of the project and on all daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Create all timely journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Study and advice on all types of VAT reports and systems while implementing them into periodic reports
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform all reconciliations
- Process balance sheets, income statements, P&Ls and all other financial statements according to local legal systems and guidelines
- Review expenses, payroll, and other company related expenditures
- Prepare and submit weekly cash flow statements
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual financial reports
- Handle custom duty payments
- Conduct all necessary audits
- Coordinate with all external audit partners
- Assist the Managing Director in all financial requirements
- Preparation and management of invoices, payments and expenditure lists in coordination with the accounting department.
- Preparation of procurement and mark-up reports.
- Prepare reports and lists to be communicated to the clients directly.
- Set up and follow up on meetings.
- Manage company financial databases & employee records.
- Deal with correspondence and queries from all stakeholders including contractors, clients, suppliers.
- Review letters, presentations and reports.
- Maintain procedures/office administrative systems.
- Reply to any request or remark via email, WhatsApp or phone calls in a timely manner.
- Track and manage yearly expenses and contract renewals.

- Proven experience of working directly with a Managing Director.
- Proven experience as a General Accountant
