Role Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the month-end closing process and preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Preparation of draft monthly management accounts packs with detailed commentary at the end of each month on variances and movements against budget/forecast/prior years for review
• Assist the CEO with the preparation of annual budgets and cash funding requirements.
• Assist with the annual audit process by providing any requirements information as requested.
• To generate analytical findings and provide recommendations across the scope of objectives and deliverables of the organization, either independently or in collaboration with others, as well as to coordinate planning activities, perform variance.
• Ensure current knowledge of regulations and updates as and when they are circulated by reading and implementing processes to adhere to changing regulations.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of fund performance, including returns, risk metrics, and market trends.
• Support the investment management team in evaluating potential investment opportunities and conducting due diligence.
Qualifications
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
• Effective communication skills to interact with senior management and external clients.
