The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and finalizing books of account. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
A. Key Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas
- To request the correct documents from the clients and to promptly acknowledge all emails within 24 hours of receipt.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including data entry and reconciliation.
- To oversee the accounting process and ensure timely and accurate financial transaction recording.
- To reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
- To collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute accounting engagements and procedures efficiently.
- To maintain effective and prompt communication with clients to address queries and requests and facilitate the accounting process.
- To generate comprehensive financial reports within the current month of receiving the needed documents from clients or as per the agreed predetermined schedules.
- To ensure adherence to financial and regulatory compliance standards in all accounting activities.
- To ensure accuracy and precision in conducting accounting tasks and producing reports.
- To ensure completion of tasks within the specified timeframes.
- To maintain positive client relationships through clear communication and responsiveness.
B. Initiatives:
- To participate in training programs to enhance accounting knowledge and expertise.
- To review and monitor the work of new/junior team members.
- To stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of internal processes, analytical data, and improvements for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- To suggest initiatives to improve client interactions and satisfaction during the accounting process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
