Job Overview:
Mechanical Engineer role will cover routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and long-term improvements of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Maintenance and Repair
Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the gas engines and associated mechanical systems are operating at peak efficiency.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of required spare parts.
2.Operations Support
Provide technical support to the operations team, ensuring that the plant meets its power generation targets.
Implement operational strategies to minimize downtime and maximize power output.
3.Performance Monitoring
Monitor and analyze system performance and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
Implement best practices in maintenance and operations to improve reliability and efficiency.
4.Safety and Compliance
Ensure all maintenance and operational activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures.
5.Project Management
Lead and manage projects related to the upgrade and optimization of mechanical systems within the plant.
Supervise and guide teams of technicians and junior engineers in project execution.
6.Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance data, and inventory levels.
Prepare daily reports, Weekly reports , Monthly reports & technical reports and analyzes for management review.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering having 10 Years of experience.
Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of MTU gas engine power plants
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including engines, compressors, and pumps.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
Willingness to work in shifts and be available for emergency callouts.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with energy efficiency projects and sustainability practices.
Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
