Job Overview:
The Paper Mill Helper is responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of paper mill machinery and equipment. This role ensures the smooth production process by performing various support tasks, such as material handling, machine cleaning, and assisting operators in the production line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist machine operators in setting up, operating, and maintaining paper mill equipment.
- Help with loading and unloading raw materials such as wood chips, pulp, and chemicals.
- Monitor machine operations and assist in the detection of issues or inefficiencies.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery and work areas.
- Transport materials and finished products throughout the facility.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems and notify supervisors of any machine malfunctions.
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and production schedules.
- Record daily production and maintenance data as required.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment and materials for the next production shift.
- Participate in training programs to increase skill levels and knowledge of equipment and processes.
