Job Overview:
The Senior Accountant - Receivable is responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and reporting. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting cash flow management by minimizing outstanding receivables.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Control the entire trade receivables of the company for the UAE region, ensuring outstanding balances are minimized each month.
- Perform accounting and control for trade receivables, collections, and general ledger entries.
- Match POS sales with ERP sales on a daily basis.
- Track daily cash deposits in the bank versus cash collections by outlets, ensuring no discrepancies while maintaining a store-wise cash tracker sheet.
- Track daily POS sales versus POS credits by merchants, ensuring no discrepancies while maintaining a store-wise credit tracker sheet.
- Conduct timely follow-ups and interactions with aggregators for collections related to credit sales, tracking sales versus collections to meet targets.
- Interact with relevant aggregators for account reconciliations and balance confirmations.
- Report monthly sales to mall management.
- Ensure the completion of sales audits for the purpose of premises owners.
- Process and verify aggregator invoices related to expenses.
- Reconcile monthly aggregator statements with company sales and collection numbers, ensuring complete payment processing.
- Ensure all sales are paid and highlight any unpaid invoices by month-end.
- Ensure the completeness of daily accounting in collaboration with the AR accountant.
- Ensure VAT compliance.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Minimum 5 to 10 years accounting experience preferably with AR, Banking and GL accounting experience. UAE experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools- Microsoft Dynamics 365, Previous ERP experience
- F&B experience preferred dealing with food application aggregators
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
