To support accurate financial record keeping and assist in routine accounting tasks to ensure efficient financial operations
Responsibilities
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
Maintaining accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures.
Conduct periodic reconciliations
Provide a statement of accounts for debtors and creditors
Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to company accounting and tax requirements
Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned
Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports
Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
Assist with procurement and job costing works
Follows all company policies and procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or a relevant field
Minimum two-year years of experience as an audit assistant or as an account assistant in a firm of repute
Excellent organizing abilities and accuracy in filing management
Great attention to detail
Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Good understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Accounting packages and work experience with ERP software
